A tree and some fell light

A single tree stands high above Great Langdale in the Cumbrian Lake District, against the passing rain clouds, while (OK squint and view the large version lol ) a small flock of birds circle against the clouds.

The light just broke through below the tree as I raised the camera.

Each time I deliver to the Old Dungeon Ghyll, I always check to see if it has survived the passing seasons.
